Standing outside Jason's record store it was 1985. I had my Walkman on in under my am was a Ramones 45. There's a boombox ringing I had Julie singing as she's walking down the road she says there's an all ages show at the channel let's jump on the train and go. And as those wheels were turning I felt my life was moving on.
Here we go the small towns getting smaller and everyone we know.
We got to the show it was 4 or so there was a line out the door. I leaned on a car I heard drums and guitars and saw some friends from the South Shore. The doorman is uptight and he wants to fight he pulled someone outside his friends jumped in let the rumble begin and watch the bodies fly. And as those fists were flying I felt my mind was flying too.
Here we go I've got these memories in my mind and I just can't let it go.
As the police pulled into the parking lot I saw your face turned so white and watch the shadows on the building as it's getting dark. We got to get home before it's night. Now when I drive by Jason's record store it seems like a long time ago the channel is gone and friends move we all take different roads but as those roads are turning their always turning back to you.
Here we go the small town is getting smaller and everyone we know
